Sports

We hope that many of the boys and girls in our school will become involved in sport and we know that this will give them the foundation for a healthy , happy life.

Many sports are taught in our school. There is a major emphasis on the promotion of hurling and camogie.

Children from first class to sixth class are trained each week by our teachers and staff members. We have been very successful in recent years and have competed in numerous county finals in hurling and camogie.

Our school hurling team compete in the Roinn A county league. Many of our past pupils have gone on to represent Kilkenny at under age level recently. We are proud of our close connections with the local GAA club John Lockes. All of our home matches are played in John Locke Park.
Over the past five years the school hurling team have managed to reach the highest level in primary schools hurling.
Past pupils have gone on to play at Inter County level winning All Ireland medals in Croke Park.
